Celebrate Life08 is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization founded by Jeannette Tyson Gregory, a 5 year breast cancer survivor. In 2008 she lost a brother and sister to cancer 9 months apart. Jeannette was diagnosed 2 months before her sister’s death. Her goal is to bring hope and encouragement to women facing breast cancer and awareness to others. One of Celebrate Life08 main focus is education and o

utreach into the community. We believe awareness and early detection
will save many lives. Our Mission is to enhance the quality of life for women during and after the cancer diagnosis and during their treatment by collecting and distributing relevant information on cancer. We sponsor seminars that will assist women in
embracing the next chapter of their lives as they begin to feel alive and in touch with their purpose for life. During the times
of submission to surgery, chemo and radiation, we provide an outlet of creativity and self-empowerment. Celebrate Life08 provides Breast Cancer Awareness workshops and presentations for churches and community centers. We are partnering with Community Centers located in low income neighborhoods to bring awareness to women who otherwise would probably never get the one on one education. The presentations include teaching the women to perform self-breast checks, adding cancer fighting power foods to their diets and learning to respect their bodies. We delivered 200 stuff animals during the Christmas holidays to hospitals in the Shelby, Matthews and Charlotte area.

Round n round we go! Where did the Pink Mammo Cruiser stop today on Thankful Thursday? The Dedicated Senior Medical Center! When I tell you there is no party like a Senior Party, I mean it! They celebrated April birthdays with such joy as the DJ spun some classic tunes.
Celebrate Life08 usually brings the celebration, but they beat us to the punch this time. A Senior Medical Center that celebrates their seniors? This is so unheard of and heartwarming!

Thank you for inviting us, Dedicated Senior Medical Center! We can't wait to come again. What a beautiful facility!

Celebrate Life08 theme for 2024 “Moving From Prevention to Preparedness." Packing bags for our breast cancer awareness events and chemo infusion visits. A big shoutout to our amazing 92-year-old volunteer, (my mother) Maggie Tyson, ensuring each bag is filled with the perfect ingredients. Today we packed 200 bags! And she’s asking for more. At Celebrate Life08, we're all about staying connected with those undergoing treatment. Embracing Resilience: Meet Our Inspirational Thriver Denise Allen. In honor of October Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we are thrilled to present our very first video interview featuring a remarkable individual who embodies the spirit of courage, strength, and resilience. This inspiring soul is not just a survivor but a true Thriver, reminding us all of the power of hope, determination, and the importance of supporting one another through life's most challenging journeys.
