It takes people coming together to create meaningful change.❤

On August 29th, Another Chance House of Refuge is looking for 33 volunteers to support our concession stand at American Legion Memorial Stadium.

By giving just a few hours of your time, you are helping ACHR continue its mission of supporting individuals and families as they work toward stability, opportunity, and a stronger future. Volunteering may seem like a small act, but when a community shows up together, that support can reach much further.

Whether you have volunteered with us before or are looking for a new way to give back, we would love to have you join us.

A new job. A new home. A new beginning. 💜🏡

Since joining Another Chance House of Refuge in February 2026 after relocating to Charlotte, Frank Nash has shown what perseverance and determination can make possible.

Throughout his time in our Transitional Housing Program, Frank continued working toward stability while also giving back to those around him. As a professional barber, he generously provided haircuts to fellow residents, using his skills to serve and encourage others along the way.

Today, we are proud to celebrate Frank as he graduates from the program. He has secured full time employment as a sandblaster and is moving into his own apartment, marking an important step toward independent living.

A special thank you to Furnish For Good for furnishing Frank new home and helping make this transition even more meaningful.

Frank journey is a reminder of what can happen when personal determination meets consistent support and community partnership.

Congratulations, Frank! We are proud of your progress and excited to see where this next chapter takes you.❤

Supporting Our Youth, One Backpack at a Time!🎒

We are incredibly grateful to Mosaic of Charlotte for their generous donation of backpacks for the youth in our community.

As students prepare for a new school year, having the right supplies can make a meaningful difference. A backpack may seem like a simple item, but for a young person, it can represent preparation, confidence, encouragement, and the excitement of a fresh start.

This donation is a beautiful example of what happens when community organizations come together with a shared purpose. Through acts of kindness like this, we can help remove small barriers for families while reminding our youth that they are surrounded by people who care about their education, growth, and future.
