Last Thursday, Friends of Queens Park presented a new proposal to help achieve our vision for a world-class central park in Charlotte!

Great talking points were made including one from a member of our board, Mary Mac Stallings: "Full steam and loudly ahead is the best strategy - to be as loud as possible about moving this forward. Leaders will have to feel the significant pressure from the majority of the general population in order for them to do this. If the public doesn’t loudly voice their support of this now, we will miss our chance forever."

Our vision includes 37 acres of additional land already owned by the city, county and some interested developers.

The extra space could be filled with public art, an expanded skate park or whatever the public desires. Tell us, what would you like to see?
