Our Older Adults Home Modification Program funded by HUD has completed 23 units to date! 🏡

Check out these before and after photos! Our senior struggled with accessing her tub and needed an ADA accessible walk-in shower and we delivered! Here’s what our senior had to say: “After having back surgery, my doctor didn't want me to bend over. I was already handicapped and this made matters worse. A friend of mine told me about a non-profit called For the Struggle. "I believe they can help you," she said. So I took her advice and completed an online application. The next day Keisha called me and we setup an appointment to meet. After the interview , I followed her instructions where I didn't know what to do. After the interview, I followed her instructions. The wait was short and soon a plumber and his crew was here installing a walk-in shower. And, what a beautiful shower it is. Friends who came around talked not only about its beauty but its efficiency. The shower is wonderful and I can't help but to stand in the doorway and look at it. Thanks to Fir the Struggle, I no longer have to hold onto to things to get in and out of a tub.”
