On April 10, joined a key meeting at Cameroon’s National Health Observatory to review and pre-validate National Breast Cancer screening guidelines.

Key takeaways:
• Over 2,285 women in Cameroon died of breast cancer in 2022.
• Most cases are detected too late, often during October campaigns.
• Major challenges: no national screening program, high treatment costs, limited specialists.
• The goal? Early detection, standardized care, better access, and more awareness year-round—not just in October.
• DTLWA proudly contributed to the conversation and continues to push for policy change and community action.

Meet these three incredible women—warriors, survivors, and symbols of resilience. 💕 At our Women’s Day walk, they stood strong, proving that hope and strength have no age limit.

All above 50 and still fighting, still hoping, still inspiring. Their courage reminds us that breast cancer doesn’t define us—we define it. I am in awe of their bravery, their spirit, and their determination to keep moving forward.

Let’s celebrate them and every survivor out there! Drop a 💖 in the comments to honor their journey!

I dream of a world where no one has to hear the words “late-stage breast cancer” and I know we can make it happen. This mission is personal. It’s about my journey, the stories of so many I’ve met, and the lives we can still save.

With my family, friends, and this incredible community, we are building a future where early detection is the norm, not the exception. But it starts with YOU.

Take a moment today: perform a self-breast exam. Then, book that check-up with your doctor. Your life matters. Let’s fight for it, together.

The Women’s Day Free Breast Cancer Screening at Parcours Vita, Yaoundé 🇨🇲 was a huge success! The turnout was amazing, with women eager to get screened and learn how to do self-exams. The health talk was engaging, and we were inspired by three brave survivors in their 60s and 70s—true warriors, thriving with positivity!

Why do we do this? Because too many lives are lost to late detection. This Women’s Day, we chose action—because every woman deserves a fighting chance. 💕

Early detection saves lives! Immense thanks to our incredible team, the dedicated medical personnel, and the amazing coaches at Parcours Vita for making this possible. Together, we are making a difference! 💪🏾💖

Happy New Week 🥰

Sharing some things I stopped doing after my diagnosis and treatment to prioritize my peace, health, and happiness:

1️⃣ I don’t compromise on sleep. It’s 8 hours or more, unless it’s an event weekend and I have no choice (and that’s rare). Rest is healing.

2️⃣ I stopped worrying excessively. Worry solves nothing. I focus on solutions and trust God with what’s out of my control - The serenity prayer helps me with this.

3️⃣ I stopped holding grudges. Letting go of anger frees my mind and heart. I accept people as they are (= love) but place them where they belong (= wisdom). Forgiveness is for me, not for them.

4️⃣ I stopped focusing on negativity. Gratitude and positivity help me stay grounded and happy. I actively look for the silver lining in every situation. - Started the Gratitude Jar this year!

5️⃣ I don’t harbor negative energy. If something doesn’t bring peace, joy, or growth, I lovingly let it go—even if it means loving people from a distance.

6️⃣ I stopped procrastinating self-care. Whether it’s a quiet walk, reading, massage, facial, travel, or a fun activity, I carve out time to recharge my mind and spirit.

7️⃣ I don’t compare myself to others. My journey is unique, and I celebrate my own progress and milestones.

8️⃣ I don’t skip activities that soothe my mind. Coloring, meditating, yoga, reading, or just sitting in silence keeps me centered.

9️⃣ I stopped multitasking too much. Being present in the moment brings clarity and reduces unnecessary stress.

🔟 I stopped chasing perfection. Life isn’t about being perfect; it’s about being real, grateful, and present.

1️⃣1️⃣ I don’t fear saying “no.” Prioritizing myself isn’t selfish—it’s necessary for my peace and happiness.

And ohhh, I still partyyyy! 🎉 I just make sure I listen to my body, lay low afterward, and get my inside and outside energy back up when I’m done. Balance is key!

I don’t think these things will make me immortal, but I certainly want to ensure I live a life that is happy and fulfilling. 💕
