Register today at mccscouting.org/OLSregistration This is a fun-filled program of hands-on skills training in the outdoors, designed to help Scoutmasters and Assistant Scoutmasters to master and teach the basic camping skills required for Tenderfoot to First Class. This Course is required for Scoutmasters and Assistant Scoutmasters to receive the Trained Patch and attend Wood Badge. Instructors will help you learn how to set up camp, cook, work with woods tools, learn about ropes, planning campfire programs, map reading and compass skills, hiking, and packing techniques, nature identification, and Outdoor Ethics.

If you received a Scouting for Food door hanger, don't forget to fill a bag or box with non-perishable food items and leave outside your home by 9:00 am for pick up by the Scouts tomorrow morning.

Priority needs include:
Canned Protein
Peanut Butter
Canned Fruits & Vegetables
Pastas (Dry boxed or canned)
Beans (Dry or canned)

Beginning today, be on the lookout for a bright red Scouting for Food door hanger (modeled here by Larry Sprinkle & Colin Mayfield of WCNC Charlotte!) as Mecklenburg County Council, Boy Scouts of America will distribute them throughout neighborhoods in Mecklenburg Co. If you receive a door hanger, leave a bag or box of non-perishable food for pick up by the scouts on Saturday, February 4th.

If you don't receive a door hanger, you can still help fight hunger!
