🎉 Join us on June 16 as we celebrate the 4th Anniversary of Snooze SouthPark! 🎉

All day long, 10% of sales will be donated to Charlotte Angels, helping us continue supporting children, youth, and families experiencing foster care in our community.

Bring the whole family and stop by for Snooze’s special Kindness Rocks activity, where kids and adults can paint rocks with encouraging messages to spread a little extra kindness throughout Charlotte.

Our team will be onsite from 10 AM–12 PM to share more about our mission and join in the fun. Whether you’re stopping in for breakfast, brunch, lunch, or a midday coffee, every purchase makes a difference.

June is National Family Reunification Month, a time to better understand one of the most important goals within foster care.

Reunification means a child is able to safely return home after time in foster care. When it is safe and possible, this is often the goal because foster care was never meant to replace family, it was meant to provide safety while families work toward healing and stability.

But reunification can be a difficult journey.

Families working toward reunification may be facing grief, shame, trauma, poverty, addiction, mental health challenges, instability, or the weight of trying to rebuild trust while also meeting the requirements placed in front of them.

Children may be carrying big emotions too, love, confusion, fear, loyalty, hope, and uncertainty all at once.

Supporting reunification does not mean ignoring harm or minimizing hard circumstances. It means recognizing that safe healing takes support, accountability, compassion, and community.

This month, we honor the children, parents, caregivers, caseworkers, and support systems walking through the complicated and courageous work of safely bringing families back together. 💛

So grateful for the opportunity to connect with so many incredible people at the Changing the Tide Carolinas’ Seaside Symposium on Child Abuse in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

It’s inspiring to see organizations, professionals, advocates, and community leaders all working toward one common goal, protecting and supporting children and families. Conversations like these are such an important reminder that real change happens through collaboration, compassion, and a shared commitment to making a difference.

What a wonderful event, and it was truly great meeting so many passionate people doing this important work every single day. 👏🏼

Today, Charlotte Angels had the incredible honor of being invited to participate in the Our American Story roadshow through Walmart’s Spark Good initiative.

This traveling project is capturing the voices and stories of organizations making an impact in communities across the country, with interviews eligible to be preserved in the Library of Congress as part of America’s living history.

To share the story of Charlotte Angels, the children, youth, and families we walk alongside, and the realities of foster care in our community on a national stage was truly meaningful. We are grateful for the opportunity to highlight both the needs and the hope that exist right here in Charlotte.

A little rain in the forecast couldn’t stop a beautiful morning of community. 💛

Our Mind & Motion Family Field Day was full of smiles, movement, and connection, from bounce houses and face painting to kids getting the chance to throw the ball with Carolina Panthers WR .

We are so thankful the rain held out for those few hours and gave us the chance to gather, play, and celebrate National Foster Care Month together.

A huge thank you to our sponsors, vendors, volunteers, board members, families, and everyone who came out to support Charlotte Angels and the children, youth, and families experiencing foster care in our community.

We could tell you how many children are in foster care.
We could explain the gaps.

But here’s the truth…

This isn’t a problem you solve.
It’s a community you step into.

So this National Foster Care Month, we’re not asking you to “fix” anything.

We’re inviting you to:
🤍 show up
🤍 stay consistent
🤍 care about something you may never fully understand

That’s how change actually happens.

Not all at once.
Not perfectly.
But person by person.
