MPHS parents are invited to attend a free, virtual Research Connection Program hosted by the NC Chapter of the American Foundation for Su***de Prevention on March 12 at 6:30 PM, featuring Dr. Anna S. Mueller, PhD.
In this timely talk, Life Under Pressure: The Social Roots of Youth Su***de and What to Do About Them, Dr. Mueller explores why so many young people are struggling—and how the environments around them play a critical role. Rather than focusing only on individuals, this session looks at schools, families, and communities, and how we can intentionally shape them to better support youth mental health.
This program is designed for parents, educators, clinicians, and community members who want practical, research-based insight into:
🤝Understanding youth su***de through a social and environmental lens
🤝Actionable ways to foster resilience at home and in schools
🤝How communities can support healing and recovery after a loss
🤝Parents will leave with a deeper understanding of the pressures facing today’s teens and concrete ideas for helping create safer, more supportive spaces for young people.
Registration is free and required.
