In recognition of "International Women's Day" and "Women's Month", Poppy Muse is sending a big THANK YOU to all the women that have contributed to our mission, the facilitation of our programs, as well as aiding in the assistance of the 400 youth that we've served over the years.

Thank you to all board members, legal team, treasury/finance members, grant writers, marketing and social media, case workers, therapists, interns and any other women lead organizations that have helped us along the way.

You all are beautiful, phenomenal women that were chosen and guided to this organization to share your expertise, talents and love for our mission and foster youth in need. Your work has never and will never go unnoticed.

Hello!

Gifts have been delivered!

Poppy Muse brought in the new year with sheltered youth (8-16yrs of age). As always, we had a great time. Prior to giving out gifts and playing games, we conducted a huddle session where we introduced ourselves, shared our yearly/life goals and our plans of ex*****on. Then it was GAME TIME….and gift openings!

Thanks to our donors, each youth received $10 gift cards, undergarments, bath robes and toiletries. They all had a chance to compete for a $25 as well. Our founder even learned a new TikTok dance the youth wanted to show her. In the end it was all smiles and gratitude from the youth.

We can’t go without saying that we are beyond grateful to our supporters, board and team members. Thank you all for your continued support. Poppy Muse sends you lots of love and we hope that your 2025 brings about joy, great memories and much success.

We have another update.

Over the past two weeks we've been fortunate to receive additional shipments and donations. A heartfelt "Thank you" to everyone that has contributed to our 2024 holiday giveaways thus far.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the amazing mothers of the world🌻💐🌷. On this day we wanted to share a podcast recording (link in bio) of our founder (recognized as a mother to many), and a foster care mom/advocate of one of Poppy Muses’ foster youth.

In this episode, you learn more about the behind the scenes work that we do and the impact that it has on our constituents. Please feel free to share with other mothers or anyone for that matter, that love a heartfelt moment and a success story of an “underdog”❤️.

Just incase you didn’t know, it’s also Foster Care Awareness Month😊, in this recording we mention the gaps and brokenness of the foster system and the effect it has on the success rate of youth in care. Poppy Muse has been working for 5 years to help minimize the statistics that stem from those gaps. Every year we’ve played a role in getting our youth over the finish line whether that’s with college graduation, employment, housing etc. We look forward to doing this work for years to come. We ask that you continue to support us in our mission by donating or volunteering your time or resources.

MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!

The delivered packages brought immense joy to the youth, who expressed their gratitude for the bags filled with essential items and gift cards. Our visit was filled with memorable moments, as each person took turns introducing themselves and sharing their aspirations and dreams for the future. Laughter echoed as we engaged in games and danced a lively two-step.

We extend a heartfelt thank you to and their remarkable team for warmly welcoming us. A special acknowledgment goes to Ashley, a dedicated facilitator and mentor from the PM team. You played a crucial role in ensuring the success of this delivery. Our deep appreciation goes to our generous donors whose contributions made it possible for us to make a positive impact on our local community. We rely on individuals like you, who embody greatness, to continue this noble work every day.

Have you taken a moment to reflect on what MLK day means to you today?

This is a day where we recognize Dr. King’s legacy of service while inspiring us to serve in our own ways.

Today Poppy Muse honors the legacy of King, focus on the issue of civil rights, and call people into public service. The fight for justice is ongoing, and we can use this day and all days, to reflect on the work that Dr. King started and took responsibility for the work we still have left to do.
