Please read: BFAB appreciates all the support over the years and it is with heavy hearts that due to financial reasons we are dissolving the organization. We will continue to support you all. We are excited to be volunteering with to bring events back to the veteran / first responder community. Keep posted for updates soon! This past weekend I participated in a CrossFit competition at crossfitcrash with some guys from the gym I goto at crossfitdhf. It was a great time!

For me crossfit is my escape each day from the daily stressors of life and my time to just focus on myself and block out the noise.

Fitness is something that has became such an important part of my life and it helps me not only strengthen my body but it helps me strengthen my mind. There is no one else that can help me be better but me while I’m in the gym. Others can give me advice but it’s ultimately up to me to put in the work. Not everyday is great and some days are harder than others. That’s why it’s also important to surround yourself with a great support system like these guys in the picture with me.

Moral of the story, whether it’s hitting the gym or joining a book club. It’s crucial to find sometime in your day to focus on yourself and your well being. It’s also just as important if not more important to make sure those who you surround yourself with want to see you succeed as much as you want to succeed.

Hurricane Helene Relief Donations: $427 raised and a trunk full of supplies.

Thank you to everyone who showed out for our ruck today and gave donations! Shout out to Hyatt Shooting Complex for donating range passes for us to raffle off, congrats to our winners.

Thank YOU to all veterans this coming Veterans Day. Look out for more events in the future to get together!

🗣️COME JOIN US THIS WEEKEND 11.9.2024 at the Whitewater Center in Charlotte,NC for our Veterans Day Community Hike!

Parking is $12 a car so we suggest car pooling if you are coming with multiple people!

Community is a key component to one’s success when facing difficult times. When you have a strong community supporting you, you begin to experience a decrease in anxiety and depression.

This weekend we want to shed a light on the community that is out there for our Veterans and First Responders while also paying tribute to our Veterans that have given us the ability to enjoy all of our great Freedoms that we have!
