Please help congratulate Gracen Goke (2028) for her first over the fence homerun today! She continues to work hard when no body is watching to make it easier when everyone is watching. What makes this extra special is a lot of her original and current CoulOak Black Widows teammates got to celebrate with her…

The CoulOak Black Widows 18U earned the 4 seed out of pool play this past Saturday, automatically securing a spot in the Silver Bracket Championship. The title game turned into an instant classic, ending with a thrilling 5-4 walk-off victory in extra innings.

In the circle, Lauren Haggins (2028) kept the Black Widows in the game with five strikeouts, while Kamryn Quill (2027) was steady in relief, tossing 2⅓ scoreless innings to help set up the championship win.

Although the offense started slow, the team never stopped battling. Aggressive and intelligent baserunning produced two runs in the second inning to keep the game close. Trailing 2-4 with the tournament’s biggest moment at hand, the Widows responded. Leilani Swanson (2028) delivered an RBI single to cut the deficit to 3-4, and followed up by Gracen Goke (2028) connecting on a clutch, game tying line drive up the middle.

Once the game moved into the international tiebreaker, the defense shut it down and Nora Cole (2028) was able to advance our runner to third base, setting the stage for Kylasia Britt (2029) to deliver the championship-winning walk-off hit.

We couldn't be prouder of this group's toughness, resilience, and determination. It took a true team effort to bring home the rings this weekend, and these girls earned every bit of this celebration…
