Adeline's Aid

Adeline's Aid My name is Chantal Wells and I am the founder of Adeline’s Aid, the nonprofit in honor of my
daughter Adeline.

Adeline’s Aid is a nonprofit agency which provides love and support to high risk pregnant mothers in preterm labor and families with premature babies in the NICU before, during and after their hospital stay in the greater Charlotte, NC area. Whilst being alone in hospital on bed rest due to preterm labor I gained the
most strength from connecting with other mothers online who had either gone throu

gh a similar experience or were currently in a similar situation. Therefore I have built on those experiences and would love to offer extensive support and love to those in need by means of this nonprofit.

This Adeline helped her mama do a bag drop off over at our friends at 🫶🏼

This sweet girl LOVES helping and being a part of the NPO in any way that she can! She even had to take a second to call her dada to tell him she’s “very busy helping the ladies in the hospital”

Don’t ever let the world change who you are Adeline Rose. Your heart is so big and your kindness is unmatched 🫶🏼🫶🏼

We were so honored to be able to make another drop off happen, as well as leave a little extra something for the nurses who deserve the world!

Thank you to everyone who continues to support our nonprofit and helps make this all possible!

Today is 🫶🏼 Giving Tuesday 🫶🏼

Giving Tuesday is a wonderful opportunity to give back and help those around us.

This we’re asking for donations of reading books for all our wonderful mamas and dadas in the NICU!

“We read to know we are not alone.” - C.S. Lewis

It can start to feel so lonely spending days on end in the hospital, so lets help spread some holiday hope and cheer this 🫶🏼🫶🏼

💜 💜

Today is a day that we at .npo hold near and dear to our hearts and, in our opinion, should he celebrated everyday. This years theme for World Prematurity Day is “Small Actions, BIG IMPACT: Immediate Skin-to-Skin Care for Every Baby, Everywhere.”

💡Did you know : 1 in 10 babies in the United States is born premature each year.

- A premature baby is a baby that is born too early, typically before 37 weeks.

Let us all wear purple today to support our beautiful, brave and babies and their families 💜💜

Swipe to see how far our sweet little Adeline Rose has come! 💜💜

On this day, 3 years ago my world turned upside down. When I read the memory on social media and all the messages and comments it never fails to bring me to tears and truly warms my soul about how kind, loving and helpful everyone was. At the time it was so so hard to remain positive and remember that one day it would all be a distant memory.

Many dated studies report that for women diagnosed with PPROM, 50% will go into labor within 24 to 48 hours and up to 90% will deliver within 7 days.

But not our girl. She beat the odds and kept hanging on inside my belly for another 3 weeks. I'm so proud of her. She is such a ray of light. God gave us a perfect angel baby and we feel blessed to be her parents.

Stay tuned for posts on our drop offs, fundraising news and donation needs 💛

In July 2021, a little over a year from Adeline’s traumatic entrance into the world we learned of the Justus family. Brianna Justus contracted covid at 30 weeks pregnant, and like me (Chantal), had two young sweet boys at home. Their sweet baby girl Logan was delivered via emergency c section shortly after. Unfortunately Brianna passed away a week later. Their story stopped me dead in my tracks. We were praying fervently for them. Cory’s (Brianna’s husband) strength and faith has been incredible to watch. I felt so moved by their story. I knew I wanted to honor Brianna and her family. After reaching out to Cory he said “Thank you very much for reaching out. My goal is to honor my wife as much as possible and any success, joy, or positive thing that can come of my situation will help me feel as though it’s not in vain.”

So we began setting up the partnership with Mission Hospital up in Asheville where Brianna and Logan were patients. Patients at the Hospital are in big need of support. It services a very large area. Gods work in making this possible has been so evident throughout.

Thank you to all our donors for helping make this possible 💕

Keep a look out for pictures of our bed rest baskets and NICU bag drop off coming soon ✨

For the 12 days of Christmas this year we are asking for your help to restock our hospitals bedrest baskets. Our NPO is going to share some items off our wishlist each day leading up to Christmas. Today Adeline is asking if you could “pleeeease” help us with purchasing a water bottle off our wishlist. Keeping hydrated is super important. When Adeline’s mama was on bedrest the more water she drank the more amniotic fluid could be created for Adeline, something super important when your water breaks early.

☝️ Here is the Amazon link for a cute pink water bottle. The link to our wishlist is in our bio.

Happy holidays🎄❤️

Today we wore purple for 💜 sometimes it’s hard to believe how little Adeline once was. 1 in 10 babies are born prematurely. My little miracle is 1 in 10. In honor of prematurity awareness month we will be extending our partnership with Mission Hospital up in Asheville, NC. Something I’ve felt God place on my heart for quite some time. I look forward to sharing more information on it all soon.
