Over 8,600 scholarships funded, but 8,300 still unfunded. Help us support the families of those who keep us free. Folds of Honor funds scholarships for the families of fallen or disabled military and first responders. Remember the spouses and children go out the door every time those who serve run to the danger.

More than 8,300 qualified students didn't receive a Folds of Honor scholarship this year.

Not because they didn't qualify, but because there wasn't enough funding available.

That's the reason behind Fund the Unfunded.

We're working to fund 20 more scholarships for military and first responder families and create more opportunities for students who are still waiting for support.

When Asher talks about his future, he talks about growth. About learning. About building something meaningful with the opportunities he’s been given.

A sophomore studying computer science at Utah Valley University, Asher spends his days balancing classes, exams, and long hours of studying while continuing to push himself academically. Thanks to the support of his Folds of Honor scholarship, he’s been able to focus more fully on school, earning top scores on exams and continuing to work toward his dream of obtaining both his undergraduate and master’s degree in computer science.

But beyond the grades and accomplishments is a young man shaped by service, sacrifice, and perseverance.

Both of Asher’s parents served in the United States Army and deployed to Iraq, where they met and built the foundation of the family that continues to inspire him today. His father, Christopher Hobson, served as a Supply Specialist, while his mother served as a Nuclear, Biological, and Chemical Specialist. Together, they taught Asher lessons that continue to guide him every day: work hard, finish what you start, and keep moving forward no matter the challenge.

Those lessons now show up in every part of his life: in the classroom, in his goals, and even in the hobbies he loves most.

Rollin Jackson Jr. has always understood the value of service, leadership, and making the most of every opportunity.

After graduating Phi Beta Kappa and Magna Cum Laude from Morehouse College as Student Government Association President, Rollin began a new chapter in Washington, D.C., pursuing a master’s degree in international relations at Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies.

From attending the Congressional Black Caucus Conference and working alongside a United States Senator’s team to being selected as a Public Relations Intern for Apple in Cupertino, Rollin continues to pursue excellence while remaining grounded in purpose and service.

That purpose was shaped by his father, United States Marine Corps Lieutenant Colonel Rollin Jackson Sr., who dedicated 30 years to military service. From leading Marines in Iraq to mentoring young people long after retirement, his father modeled what it means to lead with courage, humility, and heart.

One of Rollin’s most meaningful memories is moving into Morehouse College with his father, walking the same campus where his dad once trained in ROTC, competed on the track team, and prepared for a lifetime of service. Years later, Rollin graduated from the same institution, continuing a legacy while building one of his own.

“My dad has shown me how to be a servant leader in everything that I do.”
