We love the folks at Attindas Hygiene Partners! ❤️

Last week, our friends at Attindas came to the Diaper Bank of NC to mark Diaper Need Awareness Week and to prep their own diapers for distribution to families in NC. The Attindas team managed to prep more than 35,000 diapers, or about a month's worth for 700 local babies.

"Seeing the work the Diaper Bank does every day, and learning more about the growing challenge of diaper insecurity in our communities, that reminds us why we do what we do. Thanks again to the incredible team at the Diaper Bank for everything you do."

Diaper Bank of NC has distributed 40 million diapers.

We want to take a moment to acknowledge this achievement and also consider what it means.

Diaper Bank of NC never set out to distribute 40 million diapers. We set out to make sure no family had to choose between food and a clean diaper. 40 million diapers distributed is simply what love and community look like when the need is this great.

We appreciate you being here with us on this journey of love and dignity. Thank you for being part of our community and for helping us meet this need.

47% of families struggle to provide clean, dry diapers for their babies.

Diaper Bank of NC’s research also found that more than 76% of households experiencing diaper insecurity have an adult working 1 to 3 jobs.

These aren't distant statistics. These are working parents. Your coworkers, your neighbors, and members of our shared community. They are working hard, but with skyrocketing costs, families are forced to make impossible choices between buying food, paying rent, or changing their baby's diaper. And they need our help.

Fuel prices are climbing, and families across North Carolina are feeling the pinch.

Did you know that a full month’s supply of diapers now costs over $120 per month, per child?

For a family already struggling financially, this isn't just a strain on the budget; it has a massive impact on everyday essentials, health, and dignity.

Diaper Bank of NC is here to bridge that gap. We provide diapers and essential hygiene items so babies across our state can stay clean, dry, and healthy. But we can't do it alone.

It's Diaper Need Awareness Week, and we're using this week to highlight the growing need for diapers in our own community.

It's no surprise to anyone that prices for food, rent, and, of course, diapers have been rising rapidly. Public safety net programs such as WIC and SNAP do not cover the cost of diapers. When you are already struggling to make ends meet, if you have to choose between food and diapers, food will always win.

For families in need, providing diapers can make a significant difference. This support for a family during their most difficult time can reduce stress, help keep a child healthy, and show them they are not alone.
