“Hi, I’m Ryder….and I have a BIG favor to ask of you. Like many, my foster’s work place downsized and she was laid off. Let me tell you a little bit about her. Although what I’m going to say is not about her work experience (her resume will do that), it will speak volumes on her character.

A year and a half ago when I came into the Rescue, I didn’t have a long term foster. Eva (my foster mom) had no experience with big dogs…she mainly was around small dogs. That did not prevent her, though, from saying yes….and let’s face it, I’m a big guy and a Shepherd 😊. She is not afraid of going out of her comfort zone. When she commits to something, she is all in. Due to her commitment, I have become an amazing guy!

Her communication skills are stellar. Rescue Mom never has to wonder how I’m doing, upcoming schedule changes or when I need to go to the vet for a nail trim.

We all know a person who thinks they know everything or has an attitude can derail a team…Eva goes with the flow. She is non-confrontational, listens well (doesn’t interrupt), smart (but doesn’t flaunt it) and truly a great person.

Your mission, if you choose to accept it (I hope you do) is to share this post and help me find a job for my foster….see, she has helped me so much…this is my opportunity to help her. Today we had an event at Speedway Harley-Davidson and we want to thank them for always making us feel welcome! And thank you to everyone who came to see us and say hello…you made the time go super quick! The dogs had a great time! Lainey was there being her happy self…Oreo and Griff were there from Animal Care & Control and Paloa was there from STAB Rescue.

What we can tell you about all the pups that came today:
⭐️ dog friendly
⭐️ kid friendly
⭐️ well behaved
⭐️ not afraid of noises (motorcycle sound)

They were all so well behaved. If you are interested in adding a furry one to your family, please reach out to the contact on their flier!

Voting ends Saturday at 4 pm eastern…yes we take this very seriously…so serious that the pups are planning one more push tomorrow morning so tune in to see what they have planned. Loki is going through Rescue Mom’s yearbook for some ideas! Hope he doesn’t disco dance!

Also, tomorrow at Speedway Harley-Davidson, we have our meet and greet event from 12 - 2 pm. Not only do you get to see us but there will be some great food there and maybe Lainey can sit in a side car 🤞. We will also have some dogs there from Char Meck Animal Care and Control that are being fostered and a pup from STAB Rescue…all trying to find their forever home. We hope to see you!”

Saturday, 8/22, we will be at Speedway Harley-Davidson from 12-2 pm….not only will Lainey be there (she loves motorcycles), but we will have two special guests from Char Meck Animal Care and Control, Oreo and Griff (pictured below). Please come out and show these pups some love!

We have also included a flier about Audrey….Audrey came to one of our events a few months ago. She is a special girl who has a great foster and is with Country Acres Rescue. If you would like to meet Audrey, contact info is on Audrey’s flier.
