The deadline for the Epilepsy Reach Education Scholarship is approaching quickly. Applications officially close on June 30th.

If you or someone you know is living with epilepsy and pursuing higher education in the Carolinas, now is the time to submit your application materials.

Do not wait until the last minute to:
✔ Complete your application
✔ Submit required documents
✔ Request recommendation letters
✔ Double check everything before submitting

Beyond the Seizures: Mental Health, Epilepsy, and the Whole Person is a space created specifically for individuals living with epilepsy to have honest conversations about the emotional side of this journey that is too often overlooked.

Tonight, we will explore:
• The connection between epilepsy and mental health
• Anxiety, depression, burnout, and emotional exhaustion
• The impact of stigma and intersectionality in care
• Strengths-based coping strategies
• Mindfulness and somatic grounding activities

Mental health is epilepsy care.

This Mental Health Awareness Month, Epilepsy Reach Foundation invites individuals living with epilepsy, ages 16 and older, to join us for Beyond the Seizures: Mental Health, Epilepsy, and the Whole-Person, a virtual webinar centered on the emotional, relational, and lived experiences of epilepsy.

On May 19th at 7PM, this conversation will go beyond seizure management. We will explore the mental health impact of epilepsy, the importance of whole-person support, and the ways community care can help individuals feel seen, supported, and less alone.
