One of the most difficult things of operating a non-profit, is facing the constant reality of NOT being able to help those in need.
Turning people away with children in their car or strollers needing food support is one of the worst feelings in existence.
With the need growing but donor support waning, we are in DIRE need of any and all food products for our Free Food Pantry, operating every Wednesday night. We generally feed up to 150 FAMILIES (an average of 450 people) with weekly groceries and hygiene items. Today, we have to stop at 90 and send the rest home, all of us devastated and defeated.
As you can see - the cars are coming, but the shelves are empty. And it’s heartbreaking to watch.
