We’ve been trying out some new things this summer... like remote STEAMKit builds!

Over the past few weeks we’ve partnered with Honeywell to host a remote STEAMKit build.

We sent supplies for kits to 25 different Honeywell locations across the U.S. so they could host STEAMKit builds at their satellite offices. Those STEAMKits will then be distributed to schools near each of those satellite offices, allowing them to make a difference in their immediate communities.

We love working with companies to help them make an impact in a way that aligns with their work and mission!

Let’s talk July impact!

Just because school is out for summer, it doesn’t mean Digi-Bridge slows down! In July our volunteer partners and Digi-Bridge team assembled and distributed over 4,000 STEAMKits for students in the Charlotte area!

If you don’t know, STEAMKits are small kits full of science, technology, engineering, arts and math activities that we distribute for free to students in the city so they can continue their love of these subjects outside of the classroom.

Did you know $10 is all it takes to cover the cost of a STEAMKit for a student? Head to the link in our bio to donate to the work!

Corning interns came to help us build STEAMKits... and left having done SO much more!

This group of interns dove into organizing supplies for our STEAMLab and sorted through dozens of LEGO robotics kits, all so our future scientists have what they need to explore, build, and discover.

Digi-Bridge runs on volunteers like this. Huge thanks to Corning for sending young STEAM professionals who are already giving back to the next generation coming up behind them. That’s the kind of volunteer energy that keeps Digi-Bridge running 💙

We want to take a moment to thank our incredible partners at . A few weeks ago they wrapped their 38th year of fundraising and we were one of the few lucky children’s charities to be a beneficiary of their work.

Today we want to give a special shoutout to our CrownTown Challenge sponsor, !

This is Bank of America’s second year participating in the CrownTown Challenge. They use it as a tool for employee engagement within their organization - something you can do, too!

We’re honored they’re sponsors this year, especially because they are heavily involved in our STEAMKit builds year-round. Thank you for your ongoing support, Bank of America!

There are still some spots left to participate in our CrownTown Challenge next week on July 22!

Join companies like , , , , CLT Women in Tech, , and more in a day full of team building, giving back and competing for fun. Teams will assemble hands-on STEAMKits that go directly to local students in the Charlotte community, then face off in a fast-paced LEGO robotics competition inspired by the Queen City itself. It’s part community impact, part team building, and 100% Charlotte.

We’re thrilled to say we are now opening up some individual participation tickets! To learn more about how you can join as an individual as opposed to a corporate team, email [email protected].

Will we see you there?

It’s time for our first update on where Delta Duck has been so far this summer!

Delta took a pit stop at Flagler University with School Programs Director Kaylee Plaza a few weeks ago. They joined leaders and partners from across the country at the “STEM Next Inspire Momentum” conference to examine the trends, insights, and innovations shaping the future of STEM learning beyond the school day.

Delta learned a lot, and both she and Kaylee shared some of the insights with the Digi-Bridge team once they got back. We’re excited to keep growing and learning so we can continue to better serve students in Charlotte!
