Charlotte International Folk Dancing

Charlotte International Folk Dancing Recreational folk dancing in Charlotte, North Carolina We teach each other, and sometimes go to workshops to learn new dances.

We are a recreational group that meets primarily to have fun doing traditional dances, mostly from eastern Europe and the middle east. Our group is aging and would love to have new members and some younger new people! We meet Tuesday evenings from 7:30 to 9:30. Teaching usually takes place between 9:00 and 9:30.

Mountain Playshop is a regional dance weekend that, for over 30 years, has provided both a forum for dancers to learn new dances, songs and culture from regional and professional teachers while also offering a beautiful destination for dancers to get together with other dancers for a fun filled weekend – dancing, partying, sharing delicious meals, reviewing dances, playing music and just relaxing in the shadow of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Mark your calendars!! Our schedule is as follows:

Tuesday, JUNE 11: NO DANCING......we will dance WEDNESDAY, JUNE 12
*** We will start early at 7:00pm (this week only, we go back to 7:30 on Tuesdays)***

June 18 and 25: NO DANCING

July 2: NO DANICNG

July 9, 16, 23, 30: Yay!, lots of Dancing!!

Greetings all,

The clubhouse will not be available on May 28th so we will dance instead on Wednesday, May 29, 7:30pm.

June 4 and 11 we will have dancing as usual.

On June 18, 25 and July 2nd we will not be able to host at the clubhouse (if anyone wants to volunteer their house, feel free). We can resume at the clubhouse July 9th.
