UNCC Psi Chi 2021 Psi Chi is the International Honor Society in Psychology. We are UNCC's chapter. Membership by invite. Psi Chi membership is by invitation only.

At our last meeting, Sarah Besse (Mental Health Educator, Coordinator of Su***de Prevention) was our Guest Speaker for the Mental Health First Aid Intro. She introduced us to two programs within CAPS that you have to check out!

QUESTION, PERSUADE, AND REFER (QPR) - a 90 minute training intended to foster a community of care by teaching individuals how to recognize the warning signs of su***de, including verbal, behavioral, and situational clues.

MENTAL HEALTH FIRST AID (MHFA) - training course that demonstrates how to offer initial help in a mental health crisis and connect persons to the appropriate professional, peer, social, and self-help care.
