🚨🙋🏾‍♀️ FINAL CALL: WE STILL NEED VOLUNTEERS!

Charlotte, we’re only 2 DAYS AWAY from Just Do It Movement’s Back 2 School Community Experience! 🎒❤️

As we make our final preparations, we still have volunteer positions that need helping hands.

Our volunteers help us welcome families, distribute school supplies, support hair services, manage parking, assist with event operations, and make sure hundreds of students and families have a positive experience from beginning to end.

You don’t need special experience to make an impact—you just need a willingness to serve.

🎒❤️ Back 2 School is almost here, Charlotte!

Hear from our Executive Director about what families can expect at Just Do It Movement’s FREE Back 2 School Community Experience this Sunday!

This year, we’re excited to welcome everyone to our NEW LOCATION at Paul Mitchell The School Charlotte, where students and families can enjoy free haircuts and hairstyles, school supplies, hot meals, community resources, and more.

Our goal is simple: help remove some of the stress of preparing for a new school year and give students the opportunity to walk into their first day feeling confident, cared for, and ready to succeed.

🚨🤝 FINAL CALL FOR COMMUNITY RESOURCE VENDORS!

We are just 5 DAYS AWAY from Just Do It Movement’s Back 2 School Community Experience, and there is still time for community organizations to join us!

This event is about more than backpacks and school supplies. We want students and families to leave connected to resources and support that can continue helping them long after August 23.

We’re seeking organizations that provide services related to housing, food and basic needs, health and wellness, education, employment, family support, youth development, and other essential community resources.

Charlotte, we’re getting closer! On Sunday, August 23, Just Do It Movement will bring students, families, volunteers, and community organizations together for our FREE Back 2 School Community Experience.

Students and families can look forward to free haircuts and hairstyles, school supplies, hot meals, community resources, and support to help them start the school year strong.

And we’re still growing our team! 🙌🏾

On August 23, Just Do It Movement is bringing students and families together for our FREE Back 2 School Community Experience at Paul Mitchell The School Charlotte.

Families can expect:

The countdown to Just Do It Movement’s Back 2 School Experience is on, and we’re looking for more helping hands to make August 23 an incredible day for local students and families.

From greeting families and helping with parking to supporting our donation table, hair services, data collection, and cleanup, there are several ways you can serve.

Our goal is simple: create a welcoming experience where students and families can access free school supplies, hair services, food, community resources, and support as they prepare for the school year.

🏠❤️ From a Storage Unit to an Apartment

Today, we get to celebrate a new beginning.

For someone experiencing housing instability, receiving the keys to an apartment represents so much more than having a new address. It can mean safety, stability, dignity, independence, and the opportunity to begin again.

At Just Do It Movement, our work doesn't stop at connecting someone with housing. Through case management, community partnerships, resources, and continued support, we help our neighbors work toward long-term stability and self-sufficiency.

And today, that journey has a new destination: home. 🔑🏠

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who makes moments like this possible—from our community partners and donors to the team members working alongside our clients every step of the way.

Every housing success reminds us that behind the numbers we share are real people, real journeys, and real new beginnings.

There’s a lot happening at Just Do It Movement, and we want our community to see the difference your support is making.

Over the past three months, we’ve continued connecting our neighbors with identification services, case management, financial literacy, housing support, and other critical resources—and we’re proud to share that 540 neighbors have been served year-to-date!

Inside this edition, you’ll also meet our newest board member, Mishica Bonner, learn how to get involved with our upcoming Back 2 School event, and see what’s ahead for Just Do It Movement.
