This webinar will connect history to the present moment, grounding our discussion in the urgent need for grassroots organizing, education, and advocacy to advance housing equity. This conversation is an opportunity to deepen understanding of this work and to recommit to what is necessary in the years to come.

We are excited to share a NEW RESOURCE from Rebuild by Design!

The Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) is a federal law created to combat the economic effects of redlining by encouraging banks to invest in the communities they serve. For decades, CRA has supported affordable housing, small businesses, and community development—but its potential to address extreme weather risk before disaster strikes remains underused.

While CRA investments have traditionally supported housing, small businesses, and community development, there is an opportunity to leverage it for proactive, community-wide infrastructure. Qualifying activities such as flood control, and stormwater systems are eligible under existing regulations.

Developed with residents in Denver, CO and Charlotte, NC, Rebuild by Design distilled 10 community-informed principles to guide community-wide infrastructure investments.

Join The Neighborhood, and build a future where every community can thrive.

At The Redress Movement, we believe that every neighborhood should be a place of belonging – not exclusion. The Neighborhood is a community of monthly donors who power our work to redress segregation and build equitable, inclusive communities across the country.

Your ongoing support sustains everything we do. From uplifting stories like the Mendoza family’s fight to keep their own home, to organizing for fair housing, equitable zoning, and reparative policies in cities like Denver, Milwaukee, and beyond.

When you join The Neighborhood, you are not just giving monthly -- you are united with people committed to repair, justice, and lasting change.

The contributions we’ve seen support our team with the access and tools they need to document the history of segregation and inform organizing campaigns, as well as provide materials and resources needed to present histories, connect with community members one-on-one, show up at community events, and lead campaigns that redress segregation in communities across the country.

We appreciate you being on this journey with us, and we can’t wait to build together.
