🐾 Spotlight Sunday 🐾

Meet Dolly, an Applejack Golden Retriever! Dolly and her handler/Mama, Sarah, passed their Therapy Dog Public Access Test in January 2026! Dolly has been on big sister duty for the last several months but Sarah is keeping their skills sharp!

Sarah says that:

"Dolly is a goofy and very affectionate girl who loves people. She’s a natural people pleaser — sometimes a little too generous with her affection!

I work as an Occupational Therapist, working with children with special needs. While this isn’t in the works quite yet since Dolly has a new baby sister (whom she cuddles with all the time!), I love the idea of having her alongside me at work to encourage play and exploration, promote functional communication, and bring a little extra joy to the children I work with!

It would be really cool to even see some smiles from my coworkers who work so passionately with me.

I hope one day she can make a difference in her own special way, whether that’s through a game of fetch, a little extra cuddling, or simply making others smile."

A little rain couldn’t stop these pups and their handlers today!

There was dancing, running, silly noises, and a cartwheel or two!

We promise the big dogs let Anja sit with them (respecting our 6 foot rule, of course!).

*pat yourself on the back if you got the mean girls reference!

Can’t wait to see these two grow up!

Most days I question every decision and move I make.

This dog, shockingly enough, is not a decision I question. My sanity, yes....but not this dog.

Dodger loves that boy. That's his person. That little boy loves his Dodgie.

We have recently started G's training with Dodger with Applejack K-9 Academy and the non-profit Elite Registry Of Working Dogs

Dodger picking us and starting his training is one of the best things I've done for G's diagnoses of Autism and Celiac.

If you feel so inclined please consider donating to the Elite Registry Of Working Dogs.

They are hosting a golf tournament in October BUT any monetary or item/door prize donation helps. Shamrock Creations and Life Through Spectrum Colored Glasses have donated some exciting door prizes!
