Hey Charlestown!
Its almost fall and Trees for Southern Indiana is looking to clear out some items in its nursery!
We'll be at the Charlestown Farmers Market this Wednesday September 23rd! With a selection of Free and Low Cost Trees
The market is located in the parking lot of Community Presbyterian Church, 1370 Monroe St, Charlestown from 3-6 p.m.
We'll have a selection of free tree seedlings including, Bald Cypress, Northern Pecan, Tulip Poplar, and Mixed Oaks.
In order to raise a little cash for the organization, we’ll also be selling some larger trees for $5 and $10 (depending on the size). Funds raised from this sale will help support our tree seedling giveaways next year. These trees will include: eastern red cedar, white pine, black walnut, silver maple, northern catalpa, and various oak species. In addition to the trees, I will also have some black chokeberry bushes, yellow dogwood shrubs for those wetter areas of your yard, and pink peonies that we’ve propagated from our property.
Also, if you have used plastic landscape pots that you’ve been hesitating to throw away, we’ll gladly take them off your hands. Just bring them to our booth and we’ll take them from there.
We look forward to seeing you on Wednesday September 23rd!
