This is exactly why I do what I do. ❤️

Seeing this little one’s Summer News assignment brought tears to my eyes. 🥹 He wrote about his summer at Kam’Lon’s Learning Lounge Summer Camp and simply said:

“I went to summer camp. It was so much fun!”

But to me, those words mean SO much more. ❤️

Camp wasn’t just about keeping children busy during the summer. It was about creating a safe place where they could learn, play, make friends, build confidence, try new things, and create memories.

Every field trip, activity, snack, game, lesson, conversation, and laugh mattered. And seeing a child leave camp with happy memories and something positive to share about his experience reminds me that the work we’re doing is making a difference.

This is bigger than a summer camp.
This is about building bright futures, one child at a time. 🌟

Thank you to every parent who trusted Kam’Lon’s Learning Lounge with your child this summer. Thank you to everyone who supported, volunteered, donated, prayed, and helped make this possible.

As we begin planning for next year’s Kam’Lon’s Learning Lounge Summer Camp, we’re reaching out to our amazing community for help!

We are currently looking for leads on a reliable 15-passenger van to safely transport our campers to educational field trips and enriching community activities during Summer 2027.

If you know of:

* A church, organization, or business selling a van
* A dealership with reasonably priced options
* A nonprofit or grant opportunity that helps organizations purchase transportation
* Anyone willing to donate or sponsor a van

Every lead is greatly appreciated and helps us continue providing safe, fun, and memorable experiences for the children we serve.

I leave my heart here for you to read…

As I close this chapter of our summer camp journey, I want to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude to this church family for opening your doors and allowing me to use this beautiful space to serve children and families in our community.

What started as a vision became a reality because you believed enough to give me a place to create memories, teach, love, encourage, and pour into the lives of children. This space became more than just a building — it became a place filled with laughter, learning, friendships, growth, and moments that will forever be remembered.

Thank you for trusting me with your church home. Thank you for welcoming my campers, my staff, and my vision with open arms. Your kindness, patience, and generosity have meant more than words can express.

I hope you know that the impact you have made reaches far beyond these walls. Every child who walked through these doors was reminded that they are valued, loved, and capable of great things. Because of your willingness to share this space, we were able to create something truly special.

As I leave this season, I carry so much appreciation and love for each of you. Thank you for allowing Kam’Lon’s Learning Lounge to become a part of this church’s story. I pray that God continues to bless this ministry, this congregation, and everyone who calls this place home.

This may be the end of this summer’s camp, but the memories, friendships, and gratitude will remain forever.

Kam’Lon’s Learning Lounge Families,

As our summer camp comes to an end, I want to take a moment to sincerely thank each and every one of you for trusting me and the Kam’Lon’s Learning Lounge team with your children this summer.

There is no greater gift than a parent’s trust, and I never took that responsibility lightly. It has truly been a blessing to watch your children learn, laugh, grow, build friendships, and create memories that I hope will stay with them for years to come.

Thank you for believing in our vision, supporting our very first summer camp season, and allowing us to be a small part of your child’s journey. Your patience, encouragement, and kind words throughout the summer have meant more than you know.

To our campers—thank you for filling our days with smiles, energy, curiosity, and joy. Each of you has left a special place in my heart, and I will truly miss seeing your faces every day.

As you begin a new school year, I pray that each of you has a safe, happy, and successful year filled with learning, growth, and wonderful opportunities. Please don’t be strangers! Keep in touch and let me know how you’re doing throughout the school year. I would love to hear about your accomplishments, milestones, and all the amazing things you’re doing. Watching you continue to grow will always bring a smile to my face.

🚀🌌 Galaxy Explorers Week is out of this world! 🌌

Today our explorers took their learning beyond the classroom and blasted off for an exciting adventure! 🪐✨ We had a stellar time at Stars and Strikes bowling, laughing, and making memories with our fellow space travelers. 🎳🧑🏾‍🚀🧑🏻‍🚀

After working up an appetite, we landed at Outback Steakhouse for a delicious lunch mission! 🍽️🚀 Our astronauts refueled with great food, big smiles, and plenty of fun conversations.

From exploring the galaxy to creating unforgettable experiences, our campers are discovering that learning can happen anywhere! 🌎⭐

You may hear us say “Wah Gwaan?” during our Jamaica adventure! But what does it mean? 🤔

In Jamaican Patois, “Wah Gwaan?” means “What’s going on?” or simply “Hello/How are you?” It’s a friendly way Jamaicans greet each other and check in with one another. 😊

🌴🇯🇲 Our Final Stop: Jamaica! 🇯🇲🌴

Today at Kam’Lon’s Learning Lounge, we wrapped up our exciting Around the World adventure with our final destination—Jamaica! 💚💛🖤

Our campers learned about Jamaica’s rich culture, vibrant music, delicious food, beautiful flag, and the meaning of the country’s motto: “Out of Many, One People.” We explored fun facts, practiced Jamaican greetings, and celebrated the unique traditions that make Jamaica so special.

😂💃 Don’t miss our next post! Check out our dance moves… we can’t promise perfect rhythm, but we can promise plenty of laughs! 🤣🇯🇲
