Five years ago, Patrolman Cassie Johnson of the Charleston, WV Police Department was tragically taken from us. 💙

At her services, Lt. David Payne had an idea to honor Cassie’s life and legacy by creating something that would continue to give back to our community.

That idea became the Annual Winter Wonderland Toy Drive in partnership with Astorg Auto of Charleston and what began as a tribute has grown beyond anything we could have imagined.

Because of our incredible community, sponsors, donors, and volunteers, over 1,500 local children will receive toys this Christmas. 🎁

We are beyond overwhelmed and grateful as we continue Cassie’s legacy of service, compassion, and love year after year.

Thank you to everyone who makes this possible. We truly could not do this without you. 💙

UPDATE: We are out, with the exception of a few things set aside for educators and those who work with children. Thank you!

UPDATE: Supplies are getting low. We will update when we are all out of extra.

Attention Teachers/Counselors, anyone who works with kids:

If you have any children in mind who need toys this Christmas please come see us today, 8-6 at the Charleston Coliseum on the Lee Street Side at the loading docks.

As you see in the picture, our friends at Mary C. Snow Elementary came by and got so many things to help brighten their kids’ Christmas.

Bring your school ID and get whatever your kids may need. All of the remaining toys are for 10 and under. There are quite a few educational toys, books, and puzzles left as well.

Your school doesn’t need to be in Charleston to participate.

‼️Sign ups are closed for now. We received applications for over 800 children in about 10 minutes. ‼️

Keep an eye on our page. There is a strong chance we will open it up later this week for more applications. I will make a post ahead of time if so.
