Just a reminder that RRC has childcare available during our meetings, along with the use of the entire YMCA for your caretaker, spouse, etc. If you are going through treatment and need assistance with parking, etc., just let us know.

RRC isn't just a movement class, it's a radical new community for women going through treatment or surviving after treatment. We have connections, resources, and a group of women who totally get it. We pick up where the cancer centers leave off. 5:30pm every Wednesday.

RRC is tonight at 5:30pm and for ANY woman cancer thriver or survivor. No fees, no costs. Child care provided, support system ready.

Meet us at the YMCA (you do NOT need a membership) for some movement and more! This is a peer-lead group, meaning we are cancer thrivers and survivors who meet to share resources, concerns, laughter, and cake. We come from CAMC, WVU Thomas, WVU Morgantown, and more. Some of us are in treatment now, some of us are in survivorship. We represent multiple breast cancers, blood cancer, lung cancer, ovarian cancer, bladder cancer, GIST, and metastatic cancer that has moved to the brain, the spine, and bones. We get it. Let tonight be the night you find a community full of resources, experience, and support right here in our backyard.

For our friends dealing with breast cancer, getting notification of a pathology report can be so nerve racking. In RRC, many of us have or had breast cancer and often talk with each other about lab reports, experiences, and what might be next. We are a social, peer-supported group who comes together for movement, laughs, and whatever else might be happening that week. We get it. Come join us every single Wednesday at 5:30pm. YMCA of Kanawha Valley- totally free. No membership needed.

RRC has Thriver care kits for any woman going through cancer treatment? Our members KNOW what is helpful during treatment and will happily deliver a kit to a woman in treatment at WVU Thomas or CAMC Cancer Center. Tonight: Chair Yoga for ANY woman THRIVER OR SURVIVOR. Completely free. Caregivers are welcome to attend with you! 5:30pm, YMCA on the hill. We would LOVE to have you.

Our coordinator, Jessica Summers, is attending the National Work & Cancer Seminar, today, where experts are gathered to discuss how cancer patients can feel their best so they can remain employed while in treatment and post treatment, from a provider and an employer standpoint.

RRC is the first of its kind in the state of WV for women cancer thrivers and survivors. Any woman who has or had any type or stage of cancer is welcome, every Wednesday. There are no fees, there are no memberships to join. We are partnered with the YMCA of Kanawha Valley and they allow ANY and EVERY woman cancer thriver and survivor to participate without being a member. We encourage you to try a ground-breaking group that is redesigning what cancer "care" outside of treatment looks like.
