Addi’s been on a new journey recently…

As a Mountaineer! I’ve got to have her up here for about a month now, and I can’t explain how grateful I am to the process that allowed her to be here and thrive.

Accommodations in school, especially higher level, is hard to find with invisible illnesses. The WVU Office of Accommodations and Center for Excellence in Disabilities has made the process so much easier 💜

Today is World IBD Day!

When doing your daily tasks today, remember that the cashier at the grocery store could be in chronic pain. The teenage boy you saw playing basketball at the park could have just thrown up and is hiding it from his friends. It’s important to normalize living every day with the invisible disease.

But also thank the health care workers in your life who have supported these people throughout their journey. Without Addi’s doctors, we would be lost! 💜
