The harbor area includes restaurants, tackle, seafood, and specialty gift shops. Unique seafood restaurants and local Fresh Seafood Market, Chuck's Seafood will appease any palette. Charleston is the Oregon’s Coast’s gateway to outstanding ocean beaches, state parks, and stunning untouched scenery. Follow Cape Arago Highway and you’ll hit a trifecta of beauty in Sunset Bay State Park, Bastendorff Beach and the renowned Shore Acres State Park. You’ll find world class surfing, kayaking and scuba diving opportunities along with hiking and biking trails suited to all levels. Learn about our local wildlife at the South Slough Estuarine Research Reserve or the Charleston Marine Life Center. The Charleston Merchants Association is a 501(c)3 Membership Organization; and is run by volunteers. They operate the Visitor Information Center located at 91141 Cape Arago Hwy - Just as you get off the bridge next to Davey Jones Locker; and is open May-September, from 10am-2pm Daily.
