Loudendale Volunteer Fire Department LVFD is a completely volunteer fire service serving the residents of Loudendale, Kanawha State Forest, Mt. Alpha, Woodvale and Johnson Road since 1971.

WEST VIRGINIA ROAD CLOSURES: Multiple road closures and hazards have been reported via West Virginia 511 this morning.

The bulk of the closures/hazards are between Charleston and Beckley where most of the rain has fallen this morning.

Road most impacted include the West Virginia Turnpike, U.S. Route 60, and U.S. Route 19.

More rain is on the way today and with the ground already saturated, flooding will most likely be problem into Monday.

We will host a CPR and First Aid Class tomorrow at the Loudendale Volunteer Fire Department tomorrow, August 4th at 5pm....

Bring $10 if you would like to receive the card via email or no charge if you choose not to receive a card.

Update. She is home. But her mamma encountered a mamma bear with two cubs on loudendale lane and another larger one on cane fork. Please be mindful of your surroundings as the big one that scared her dog off from home isn’t very scared of people. If you encounter one of our furry friends contact 911 and report the problem

🚨. Urgent alert……. 🚨 please be on the lookout in the 2300block of cane fork Young lady going out to look for her missing dog had a very close encounter with a big black bear bear was within just a few feet of the child she believes the bear with got the dog or scared it off.
