Palmetto Goodwill, in partnership with AT&T and Human I-T, distributed 120 refurbished laptops to tri-county area youth and families. The laptops, funded by an AT&T contribution, include Microsoft Office and one year of technical support for the students.

Founded in 1979, Palmetto Goodwill is a local, community-based nonprofit whose mission is changing lives by providing access to training, education, and employment. This laptop distribution directly supports that mission by helping bridge the digital divide and equipping students with the tools they need to succeed.

This effort is part of AT&T’s nationwide commitment to invest $5 billion by 2030 to help 25 million people get and stay connected to high-speed internet.

What began as a simple idea evolved into a dynamic gathering of regional, state, and national leaders—all united by a common goal: to connect more people with the digital tools they need to thrive in today’s world.

We extend our sincere thanks to Stacey Lindbergh, PMP, for her exceptional leadership in bringing this vision to life. It has been a true pleasure working alongside you.

Here are the logistics you need to know about the inaugural event:

The Summit starts at 9 am and runs through 3:45 pm
An after hours networking event will be held from 3:45 – 5 pm.

Home Telecom and Berkeley County School District have renewed their partnership to continue bringing digital resources to families in Cross, SC!

This initiative ensures students have the tools they need for educational success by providing free or discounted internet with Home Telecom, while BCSD provides Chromebooks for both school and home use.

Thanks to grant funding from Google, the program will continue through the school year and into next school year.
