Partnerships like these remind us that we're never doing this work alone. ❤️

Recently, the Zera House team had the opportunity to visit World Vision Appalachia in West Virginia, reconnecting with a partner that has faithfully supported our mission for years. From helping furnish our homes to providing materials for building projects and meeting practical needs along the way, their generosity has made a lasting impact on the women and families we serve.

This visit felt like the beginning of a new chapter in our partnership, and we left encouraged, grateful, and excited for what's ahead. We were also blessed to receive additional donations that will help furnish our staff house and continue creating spaces of hope and restoration.

Thank you, World Vision Appalachia, for believing in our mission and investing so generously in the work being done at Zera House. We are honored to partner with you and look forward to all that's still to come.

Today we celebrate two things: a birthday and a mission. 🎉🏃‍♂️

This year, Miles for Survivors is getting a special leader. Adam Wallace — husband of our CEO & founder — is taking the reins and running a HALF MARATHON on June 27th in Glacier National Park to raise funds for Zera House through the Wander Project.

Every mile Adam runs represents hope, healing, and restoration for survivors rebuilding their lives.

And today is Adam’s birthday. 🥳
So in honor of his birthday, we’re asking our community to join him in making a real impact.

Last weekend was such a beautiful reminder of community and love in action. 🤍

We are incredibly grateful for Milton Baptist Church in WV and Mount Bethel in Marietta, GA, who came out to serve alongside us at the safe house. Because of their hands and hearts, our new chicken run is up and secure for our chicks—and it’s such a blessing to see that space come to life.

But even more than the work, the time spent together meant everything. From building to laughter, and the sweet moments of arts and crafts shared with our residents, it was truly special. You didn’t just give your time—you brought joy, connection, and light into our home.

Thank you for showing up, for serving so selflessly, and for being part of what makes this place feel safe, warm, and full of hope. We are so grateful for each of you. 💛

Spring at Zera House 🌱

Our first set of chicks have officially upgraded to the coop, and we’ve now welcomed more little Silkies to the flock—they’ve already captured all of our hearts. Mikey, our director, and our residents are so in love. 🐥

Zera (Z-E-R-A) means seed in Hebrew, and this season is a beautiful reflection of all that is growing here. 🌱

Sowing in love, resting in hope, growing in grace.

New life is blooming, and we are so expectant for what’s ahead 🤍

In just one week, our new residents at Zera House have already begun to settle in and flourish in such a beautiful way.

They’ve learned how to can food, make candles, planted a thriving flower tower, and carefully chosen their chicks—our latest addition to the Zera House family. From gardens to eggs to hands-on learning, there’s been so much joy in watching them step into this new rhythm of life.

More than anything, we are grateful to see them becoming part of the Zera House family. There is laughter, curiosity, and a quiet strength growing here each day.

We are deeply thankful to God for His faithfulness, and we continue to pray for ongoing growth, healing, and provision over every life here.
