Sports gave you something. Now it’s your turn to pass it on.

Introducing the Play It Forward Challenge, running October 13 – November 13! πŸ’—

Remember what sports gave you? Confidence. Leadership. Friendships. Resilience. Leveling the Fields runs after-school sports programs for girls who may otherwise never get the chance to play, and you can help change that.

Here’s how it works:
1️⃣ Sign up to become a fundraiser and get your own fundraising page
2️⃣ Share it with your friends, family, and supporters
3️⃣ Join us for All Star Day in December to celebrate the girls you helped support

Fundraisers also earn LTF swag along the way: raise $500 for a T-shirt, $1,000 for a hat, or $2,000 for a sweatshirt. πŸ‘•

πŸ€ FIELD NOTES: KEEPING UP WITH WOMEN'S SPORTS πŸ€

Big week for women's basketball β€” swipe through ➑️

Team USA just claimed their 5th consecutive FIBA Women's World Cup title, beating France 97-79 in Berlin for their 12th title overall. Breanna Stewart became the first-ever two-time World Cup MVP with a 22-point, 10-rebound double-double.

And the celebration doesn't stop there β€” the WNBA is back tonight, fresh off the FIBA break, with five games on the schedule including Angel Reese and the Atlanta Dream taking on the Connecticut Sun. Playoffs tip off September 27 with all 8 teams locked in: Minnesota, Golden State, Las Vegas, Atlanta, Indiana, New York, Washington, and Dallas.

This is what we mean when we say sports builds the leaders girls become off the court. Champions on the world stage. Champions chasing a title. Every one of them started as a girl who got the chance to play.

We're watching all season. πŸ’ͺπŸ€

Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month πŸŽ€

This month we're honoring the Latina athletes who didn't just win β€” they widened the door behind them.

πŸ₯Ž Jessica Mendoza β€” 2x Olympic softball medalist and the first female analyst in MLB history. She proved a woman's voice belongs in the booth, not just on the field.

πŸ€ΈπŸ½β€β™€οΈ Laurie Hernandez β€” Olympic gold medalist who credits her Puerto Rican culture for the courage and determination that carried her through gymnastics.

πŸƒπŸ½β€β™€οΈ Jasmine Camacho-Quinn β€” Olympic hurdler and South Carolina native who chose to represent her mother's Puerto Rico, embracing her heritage on the world's biggest stage.

⚽ Sofia Huerta β€” NWSL pro who has played for both the U.S. and Mexico, carrying her father's Mexican roots through every step of her career.

Here's why this matters to us: only 24% of C-suite executives are women β€” and 94% of them played sports growing up. Sports don't just build athletes. They build the women who lead.

But a girl has to see it before she believes she can be it. Every one of these women gave a little girl somewhere permission to try.

That's the work. That's why we're here. πŸ’ͺ

SHE'S OUR HOMETOWN GIRL.

Charleston β€” tonight is a big one. Emma Navarro, our hometown girl, is stepping onto the biggest stage in tennis for a US Open quarterfinal against No. 3 seed Jessica Pegula.

Our hometown girl. Playing for a spot in the semifinals. Tonight at 7pm ET.

This is exactly what Leveling the Fields is about β€” a girl from right here in Charleston, given the chance to play, chasing the top of her sport. Emma is proof of what we say every day: keep girls in the game, and there's no limit on how far they go.

So tonight, we're not just fans. We're family cheering on our own.

πŸ“Ί 7pm ET. Let's go, Emma. Charleston is behind you. πŸ’ͺπŸŽ€

The heat is on β€” 3 wins from this week in women's sports, and why each one matters to us.

πŸ€ Team USA Basketball β€” 94-61 win over China
Team USA opened the FIBA World Cup with total dominance, led by Caitlin Clark. Why it matters: representation is everything. When our girls watch women lead a team with total confidence on a world stage, it becomes easier for them to picture themselves leading too β€” on the court, in the classroom, anywhere.

β›³ Team USA Golf β€” 4th consecutive Women's PGA Cup title
The U.S. team just made history, winning by a record 30-stroke margin. What makes this one special: these are professionals who work full-time jobs and still compete at an elite level. That's not a coincidence β€” it's exactly what "Leveling the Fields" means. The playing field and the professional field are the same field.

🎾 Alexandra Eala β€” First-ever US Open 3rd round
Eala broke into new territory in her career this week, reaching a round she'd never reached before. Why it matters: not every win is a championship. Some wins are just doing something you've never done before. That's the kind of win we celebrate most with our girls β€” because growth doesn't always look like a trophy.

Three different sports. Three different stories. Same lesson: show up, keep growing, and the wins β€” big or small β€” will follow.

Swipe through to see each one πŸ‘‰

What’s the jaw-dropping statistic that helped inspire Leveling the Fields? πŸ‘€

Hear from our Founder and Executive Director, Melyssa Jaskiewicz, about the statistic that made her ask an important question: What if more girls had the opportunity to play?

Want to know what that statistic is? Visit levelingthefields.org to learn more about our story and why we do what we do.

And speaking of coming to events… πŸ‘€πŸ¦
Our next one is at Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams!
