Distinguished Young Women of Charleston County and Berkeley County Our mission is to encourage, recognize and reward excellence in Charleston's college-bound young women Locally, we gave away $6,600 to the Class of 2015.

Our goal is to encourage, recognize and reward excellence in Charleston's college-bound young women. Distinguished Young Women was founded in 1958 and makes more than $360 million in scholarships available each year nationally.
