Charleston Area World AIDS Day Connecting the Charleston Area Community with HIV/AIDS information to EDUCATE, ENGAGE, and STOP STIGMA for World AIDS Day commemorations

Join members of the Charleston Community on December 1st to help remember and celebrate the lives of our friends and loved ones who have lost their struggle with HIV/AIDS and educate the community to combat the stigma of those currently living with HIV/AIDS. This will be an open, free event for the community of Charleston, North Charleston, and the surrounding Lowcountry Area.

RiseUpToHIV's website is set to launch at the end of September, and we already have over 150 articles and ‘hubs’ that have been written or curated. However, we recognize there may still be gaps, so we are inviting input from the community.
If you could gain a deeper understanding of any HIV-related topic, or help someone else better understand it, what would it be?
This could include science, treatment, prevention, U=U, the history of HIV, stigma, aging, mental health, relationships, policy, or any other area.
Or, another idea entirely. PLEASE LET US KNOW. It may just make it into the 30 day community preview of the site beginning Oct 1st.

Please leave a comment, or DM us. Share widely too…

🚨 Federal HIV funding is on the line! 🚨
For decades, federal funding has been the backbone of HIV services, prevention, treatment, and care across the nation. It's helped people living with HIV thrive and live long, healthy lives.
Now, the House majority's proposed Labor, Health and Human Services bill puts all of that at risk.
We stopped cuts before. We can do it again — but only if we act together.
Call on your members of Congress to reject these cuts and support a bipartisan spending bill that truly meets the needs of our communities.
