WOW what an exciting month! I had so so much fun doing these videos for you all and I hope you’ve learned something and will continue to advocate just like our state team is! ❤️

One thing that i’ve enjoyed most is sharing my story. I don’t want you to walk away simply knowing what a condition is but what it really can do to someone’s mental health. My story isn’t over and I will continue to educate and share what I went through. The thyroid is truly a second brain and these symptoms are as simple as they sound until you experience what it does to you. Your whole body matters, not just the pieces we assume are affected the worst. Thank you all for giving me a space and platform for my story!

Great job!

Our advisor are the BEST!

Mrs. Stephanie Moore serves as the Health Sciences Instructor at Braxton County High School, where she has established a culture of excellence, high expectations, and student success. ✨🩺

An exceptional educator, Mrs. Moore, consistently goes above and beyond to ensure every student can thrive. Her commitment to excellence is reflected in her students' outstanding accomplishments, including a 93% average passing rate on this year's NOCTI assessment. Her dedication and impact have also earned her the distinction of being named Braxton County High School's Career and Technical Education Teacher of the Year.

As the school's HOSA advisor, Mrs. Moore inspires students to pursue leadership opportunities, challenge themselves, and strive for excellence both inside and outside the classroom. Most recently, she led six students to the HOSA International Leadership Conference in Indianapolis, where two students achieved a Top 10 finish in the world in the Health Education event. Their award-winning project focused on teaching infection prevention and control strategies to second-grade students, demonstrating the real-world impact of the knowledge and leadership Mrs. Moore instills in her students.👏

Washington Leadership Academy (WLA) was an amazing experience for WV HOSA officers. We met so many brilliant students from other states, connected with our International Executive Council (IEC), toured Washington D.C., and even got to be broadcasted on the news! Our team experienced so much and learned so much about leadership, teamwork, and how to set up workshops. We also had four local members able to attend WLA, making it feel so special. They tagged along with us officers and showed them the inside of being a state officer. We thank all of our IEC for making such an amazing experience for all of us! 🤍✨

🇺🇸💙💛 WV HOSA LEADING in Washington, D.C.!

What an incredible experience for our West Virginia HOSA State Officers! While attending the HOSA Washington Leadership Academy, these young leaders are developing their leadership skills, connecting with HOSA members from across the country, and learning how to advocate for Career and Technical Education and the future of healthcare. 🩺🏛️

Their time in Washington also includes visiting Capitol Hill and meeting with West Virginia’s congressional delegation to advocate for CTE, healthcare education, and Perkins funding—using their voices to represent students across our state! 🇺🇸💙

We were also so excited to have our State Officers interviewed by WOWK 13 News! 🎤 A HUGE thank-you to Amanda Barren for taking the time to interview our officers and giving them the opportunity to share their experiences, their passion for HOSA, and the important work they are doing in Washington. We truly appreciate you helping us showcase these amazing student leaders! 💙💛

So proud of the confidence, professionalism, and leadership these students continue to show. They aren’t just preparing to become future leaders—they are leading right now! ⭐️

Way to represent WV HOSA and the Mountain State! 💙💛🩺🇺🇸
