WV Community Health Centers provide comprehensive care to nearly 1 in 4 West Virginians. These sites also employ over 7,250 individuals.

The West Virginia Primary Care Association is comprised of 34 organizational members, representing health care service sites across the state of West Virginia. WVPCA member organizations support more than 543,000 West Virginians or 1 in 3. These organizations contribute a staggering $1B to the state economy. As health centers continue to grow and thrive, they will face challenges. The ability to r

espond to changing markets while remaining true to the WVPCA vision and mission will drive the success of primary care in the future.

As part of National Health Center Week last week, the WVPCA's Matt Arthur attended FamilyCare's 5th annual Kids Bash! This event brought together their community for a day full of food, games, fun, and back to school supplies. We are so proud of the incredible work being done to bring their community together, and can't wait to attend again next year!

Last week, as part of National Health Center Week, Director of Value Based Care Services Scot Mitchell visited St. George for their patient appreciation day event. Several hundred people attended the event which included food trucks, local vendors, bounce houses, HealthNet, and even the West Virginia Mountaineer! St. George truly went above and beyond for their community, and we could not be more proud of the work they are doing!

Last Week, Integrated Health Centers of West Virginia held their annual Community Health and Harvest Day. The event supported the FARMacy WV program at Integrated and was a great opportunity for members of the community and health care providers to learn together and enjoy some barbeque on a hot summer evening. The PCA's School Based Health Director (along with our honorary canine staff member) was pleased to attend and check out the walk-through colorectal cancer exhibit and chat with vendors and attendees from the Harrisville community. Congrats to Integrated on a successful inaugural event!
