Calling all ASP community members, homeowners, staff alumni, and volunteers!

WE'RE HIRING individuals to cook with ASP at our Kanawha County center this summer! In this summer position, you will cook meals for volunteers from across the country. We are so excited to be back in Kanawha County in just a few short weeks!

Details:
-Term is June 7th - July 31st
-Sunday evening through Friday evening each week
-Saturday (all day) and Thursday evenings are off!
-Position is paid hourly

As the summer comes to an end, all of us in Kanawha County must prepare to part ways. Here is what we’ll be up to after we leave Kanawha:

- Aidan Soha will be heading back to SUNY Brockport where he will finish his senior year studying Communications
- Maddie Brashaw will be heading back to Concordia University - Wisconsin where she will finish her senior year studying Pre Med
- Graham Hysom will be heading back to Appalachia State where he will be starting his senior year studying Architecture
- Amy Burgy will be heading back to Bowling Green where she will be starting her junior year studying Early Childhood Education

We are all so grateful to have spent the summer in Kanawha County and will miss this place and these people a lot. Thank you to ASP for bringing us together in Kanawha County. Until next time!

This group installed railings and did touch ups on the ramp!

Group: Pleasantville Presbyterian Church

These groups built a new ramp and porch off of the back of the home. They also did repairs to existing siding, facia, and metal on the roof !

This group helped stabilize the railings on the back porch along with building railings and stairs on the front porch !

Group: ACT Now Youth Fellowship

This group installed new siding, insulation foam board, and house wrap where it wasn’t previously installed. They also installed new trim around interior windows and patched the floor!

This group took down the kitchen cabinets and took up the flooring. They also installed new drywall in the kitchen. Additionally they painted the living room.!

This group built a new 5x5 porch and stairs off of the side of the home!

This group continued installing new insulation foam board, j-channel, and begun installing new siding. They also installed new soffit and continued to work on drywall in the bedrooms!
