We invite you to become part of history by joining us on Wednesday, June 24th at Fort Moultrie to create the Carolina Day 250 Commemorative Flag Garden!

We are seeking volunteers from across our community to install 1,000 American and British flags in a visual tribute commemorating the 250th anniversary of the Battle of Sullivan’s Island. All ages are welcome 🇺🇸

The Flag Garden will stand as a powerful reminder that history is not only something we learn about, but also something we preserve and commemorate together. Registration is recommended but not required at www.friendscnp.org.

1,000 flags. One community.

Interested in helping to preserve our amazing forts? Join us as a summer intern in the Traditional Trades Advancement Program (TTAP)!

Interns in this program will repoint bricks, conserve cannons, and help to maintain metal, concrete, and wooden structures. They will support the park’s critical preservation needs, and will help to prepare for the 250th anniversary of the Battle of Sullivan’s Island in June.

The program will last 26 weeks, starting on April 6, and is open to anyone ages 18–30 (or veterans younger than 35). If you’re interested, you can apply at the link below — we recommend to do so before Sunday, March 8.
