ron has been serving the Kanawha Valley area since 1957 and is devoted to the CAP’s Cadet Program. Through the Cadet Program, young people, 12 years and older, participate in military style leadership training and discipline; engage in hands on activities geared toward learning about aviation through aerospace education, as well as powered orientation flights and glider flights. Cadets receive survival and search and rescue training and the opportunity to become a member of the squadron’s Eagle Team. There are currently 55 cadet and 25 adult members in the Charleston Cadet Squadron. To find out more, come and visit any meeting. Meetings are held every Tuesday evening, 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Building 141, 130th Airlift Wing, WV Air National Guard, Coonskin Drive, Charleston, West Virginia.
