We are deeply saddened by the sudden passing of our beloved colleague, Jacki Englehardt.

Jacki gave so much to the social work profession and to our chapter over the years. From serving on our Board of Directors and volunteering with our chapter to supporting countless young professionals as they entered the social work field, it’s difficult to adequately summarize her far-reaching impact on social work in West Virginia. Her dedication to the profession was recognized in 2019 when she was named NASW West Virginia’s Social Worker of the Year.

Jacki’s kindness, enthusiasm, and unwavering presence will be deeply missed. Our thoughts are with her loved ones, colleagues, students, and everyone who was fortunate enough to cross paths with her.

We will especially miss her contagious smile and the warm welcome she always brought to the exhibit hall at our spring conference❤️

Social workers play an important role in protecting voting rights. To support the communities we serve, we must understand the threats that can restrict voter participation.

NASW is working with national voting rights organizations to share information about voter intimidation, gerrymandering, redistricting and other election interference tactics.
