In Fall 2010 we began our first year of Raise Up with eight young men who are sophomores at North Charleston High School. The eight have been divided into teams of four and will compete against the other team for scholarship dollars. The program focuses on the following topics: Education, Personal Finance, Business, Community Involvement, Social Awareness and Ettiquette.

Meet Jaylen Links, Student Success Coach!

Jaylen’s story has come full circle. After being part of the Raise Up Program himself, he is now helping other students as a Student Success Coach.

In his role, Jaylen supports students as they work toward their goals, overcome challenges, and stay on track for success. His own experience gives him a unique perspective and allows him to connect with the students he serves in a meaningful way.

We’re proud to have Jaylen giving back and helping the next generation of students succeed.

Usually I would just use the fork regularly, but it taught me how to properly place utensils, step away from the table respectfully, and not just how to dine in America, but continentally too.
