At Eunoia Rescue it is our mission to spare the lives of beloved creatures from high kill shelters in South Carolina and place them with those who can provide a harmonious environment. By re-homing just one animal from a shelter, another space is created to give a different animal a chance. Adoption may seem as though you are helping only one, but you are helping many. It is with a heavy heart and a lot of tears in my eyes that I write to let everyone know that after 10 years, Eunoia Rescue will be closing.

In our 10 years, we saved over 1500 animals from euthanasia lists across South Carolina and that is something I’ll forever be proud of. Rescue work isn’t easy and it’s definitely not for the faint of heart, but it was something I loved for a long time. However, there’s more to life than rescue, and this chapter is officially ending.

I want to thank the countless donors, fosters, and adopters who have made this mission possible this past decade. I think I speak for everyone who has ever been part of Eunoia admin when I say we all made lasting friendships because of this little rescue. And of course, we’ve all had our families grow with foster fails and adoptions.

Eunoia means “beautiful thinking” and I hope everyone continues on with their beautiful thoughts towards animals in need 🤍

Then George is YOUR guy!

George will be the most perfect dog to join your family! He’s a very versatile, go with the flow guy. He has lots of energy to play but loves to chew a bone. He can sit quietly while you watch TV, work or work out, but will join you on long walks and adventures! He needs to continue to work on his leash manners but he’s incredibly smart! He already knows sit and shake along with waiting for his food.

George is currently in a foster home with 3 other dogs, and he gets along with them perfectly! Children are his friends, too! We don’t know how he’d be with cats, as we’ve never had him around any.

George is about 8 months old & weighs around 45 pounds. He’s up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and neutered!

WELCOME WEDNESDAY!!!

Everyone, please join me in welcoming THREE new babies to Eunoia Rescue!

Starting off, we have Brooke! Brooke is a 40 ish pound, 2-3 year old beauty queen! This girl was our last pull of 2024 and came to us right before Christmas! She found herself at risk of euthanasia due to lack of space in the Cherokee shelter, and is safe because the incredible Sylvia said “pull her and I’ll foster” — it was an easy decision to say yes!

Next we have Versace aka Sachi! This regal girl was seized by law enforcement after her owner was arrested in Berkeley County. Luckily for her, we know Alicia with is a huge Dobie lover, so we asked if she would take her. Alicia is an incredible human and does whatever she can to help dogs in need, so of course, she was picked up from the shelter almost 2 weeks ago. Sachi is 3 years old and weighs around 60 pounds.

And finally, we have the derpy Theo! Theo is a 1 year old, 70 pound doodle bug with tons of love to give! He found himself being given away by his previous owners and a coworker of mine, Kacie, couldn’t let him go to the shelter. He’s now with her and officially a Eunoia boy!

These three pups will all be available for adoption soon! They are only safe with us because fosters said yes! All the donations you guys sent our way in December certainly helped us be able to say yes, too!!

🎄ON THE TWELTH (AND FINAL) DAY OF CHRISTMAS GIVING..

EUNOIA DONORS GAVE TO ME, TWELVE MONTHS OF PREVENTION ($480 GOAL) 🎄

In an attempt to finish the year strong with fundraising, we’re doing the 12 Days of Christmas Giving! And for the twelfth and final day, we’re asking for donations to fund the amount of twelve months worth of Heartworm, flea, and tick prevention!!

One of the biggest things we can do to keep our dogs safe, is to ensure they receive monthly prevention! This not only keeps them safe from pests like fleas and ticks, but also from dangerous diseases like Heartworms and Lyme.

Prevention for one dog for a month runs us around $40. So, the cost adds up quickly.

The idea with the 12 Days of Christmas Giving is to continue on towards our $20,000 fundraising Goal by the end of the year. As of this morning, you guys have donated $5,393 which is 27% of our goal!! We are blown away and so excited to start 2025 off fresh!

🎄ON THE TENTH DAY OF CHRISTMAS GIVING..

EUNOIA DONORS GAVE TO ME, TEN BAGS OF FOOD ($500 GOAL) 🎄

In an attempt to finish the year strong with fundraising, we’re doing the 12 Days of Christmas Giving! And for the tenth day, we’re asking for donations to fund the amount of ten bags of food!

Doggos gotta eat!! And boy oh boy dog food is freaking expensive these days. We don’t feed tip top of the line, bougie food, but also don’t give them Ol Roy. Our food of choice is Purina Pro Plan, and a mediumish sized bag of food runs us about $50.

Don’t worry, your food donations will be very safely guarded by Kaia!

🎄ON THE NINTH DAY OF CHRISTMAS GIVING..

EUNOIA DONORS GAVE TO ME, NINE STARTER PACKS!! ($225 GOAL) 🎄

In an attempt to finish the year strong with fundraising, we’re doing the 12 Days of Christmas Giving! I accidentally missed days 7 & 8 (whoops). And for the ninth day, we’re asking for donations to fund the amount of nine starter packs!

We like to make sure our fosters (and their pups) are set up for success. So the bare minimum of a starter pack is a collar, leash, and tag with our info on it. Obviously Fosters also get food, treats, toys, blanket, crate, etc. But the collar, leash, and tag is the foundation of a starter pack. This runs us about $25/pup.

The idea with the 12 Days of Christmas Giving is to continue on towards our $20,000 fundraising Goal by the end of the year. As of this morning, you guys have donated $5,338 which is 27% of our goal!! We are blown away and so excited to start 2025 off fresh!

🎄ON THE SIXTH DAY OF CHRISTMAS GIVING..

EUNOIA DONORS GAVE TO ME, SIX MICROCHIPS!! ($210 GOAL) 🎄

In an attempt to finish the year strong with fundraising, we’re doing the 12 Days of Christmas Giving! And for the sixth day, we’re asking for donations to fund the amount of six microchips.

Lost dogs are sadly a pretty common thing, and a lot of times when a dog is out on their own, a collar can get lost. So, that’s why microchips are so important!

Every dog that comes through our rescue is chipped for life. That way if they ever find themselves in a shelter again, the shelter knows who to contact.

Today we’re asking for donations to fund the purchase of 6 microchips — they’re about $35 each.

The idea with the 12 Days of Christmas Giving is to continue on towards our $20,000 fundraising Goal by the end of the year. As of this morning, you guys have donated $5,317 which is 27% of our goal!! We are blown away and so excited to start 2025 off fresh!

🎄ON THE FIFTH DAY OF CHRISTMAS GIVING..

EUNOIA DONORS GAVE TO ME, FIVE NEUTER SURGERIES!! ($1,000 GOAL) 🎄

In an attempt to finish the year strong with fundraising, we’re doing the 12 Days of Christmas Giving! And for the fifth day, we’re asking for donations to fund the amount of five neuter surgeries.

Spay/neuter surgeries are absolutely the hallmark of animal rescue. The ultimate goal of rescue is to reduce the need for our work— and there’s absolutely no way to do that without spaying and neutering every dog that comes through our doors.

Clearly momma Taylor Swift wasn’t thrilled about becoming a mom (don’t blame her) and if the owner of whatever dog knocked her up had just gotten him snipped, she’d have never found herself in this situation.

Unfortunately neuter surgeries are really freaking expensive these days (at least $250). So, we’re hoping you guys can donate in the name of neutering some pups!

🎄ON THE FOURTH DAY OF CHRISTMAS GIVING..

EUNOIA DONORS GAVE TO ME, FOUR SPAY SURGERIES!! ($1,400 GOAL) 🎄

In an attempt to finish the year strong with fundraising, we’re doing the 12 Days of Christmas Giving! And for the fourth day, we’re asking for donations to fund the amount of four spay surgeries.

Spay/neuter surgeries are absolutely the hallmark of animal rescue. The ultimate goal of rescue is to reduce the need for our work— and there’s absolutely no way to do that without spaying and neutering every dog that comes through our doors.

The mommas in these photos are the most recent two pregnant ladies we had in rescue. They didn’t ask to be mothers. They didn’t ask to add a total of 17 puppies (just with these two pregnancies, who knows if they had more in the past) to a world that didn’t want them. But, the sad reality is that they did because they hadn’t been spayed.

Unfortunately spay surgeries are really freaking expensive these days (at least $350). So, we’re hoping you guys can donate in the name of spaying some pups!

🎄ON THE THIRD DAY OF CHRISTMAS GIVING..

EUNOIA DONORS GAVE TO ME, THREE DENTAL CLEANINGS!! ($1,500 GOAL) 🎄

In an attempt to finish the year strong with fundraising, we’re doing the 12 Days of Christmas Giving! And for the third day, we’re asking for donations to fund the amount of three dental cleanings.

Let’s face it, sometimes dogs just have the WORST breath— and that’s probably because they are in serious need of a dental cleaning. A lot of the older dogs that come to us are in need of at least a cleaning, if not some extractions.

Dentals can run around $500 for the basics, and can quickly get more expensive if extractions are needed. On this third day of Christmas Giving, we ask that you consider donating towards some dental care for future Eunoia pups. Hopefully they can all have beautiful smiles like Winnie does in this picture 😉

🎄ON THE SECOND DAY OF CHRISTMAS GIVING..

EUNOIA DONORS GAVE TO ME, TWO HEARTWORM TREATMENTS!! ($2,000 GOAL) 🎄

In an attempt to finish the year strong with fundraising, we’re doing the 12 Days of Christmas Giving! And for the second day, we’re asking for donations to fund the amount of two Heartworm treatments.

An ugly truth of rescue, especially in the south, is that a LOT of the dogs we bring in, come in Heartworm positive. Their previous owners couldn’t be bothered to provide them with monthly prevention, and they end up with this awful disease.

Heartworm disease wreaks havoc on the dogs, and is deadly if left untreated. The treatment is incredibly tough on the dogs, takes a long time to accomplish, and is EXPENSIVE! Treatment normally runs us about $1,000 per dog. So, today we’re asking for donations to help offset the cost of some treatments. The pups pictured were previously HW+, are now HW-, and are living their best lives in their forever homes.

The idea with the 12 Days of Christmas Giving is to continue on towards our $20,000 fundraising Goal by the end of the year. As of this morning, you guys have donated $4,813 which is 24% of our goal!! We are blown away and so excited to start 2025 off fresh!
