One thing that makes our program unique is that each child in our program receives at least the three gifts they request. Secret Santa was founded to ensure children in our area would not go without on Christmas morning and no parent would suffer the guilt of not being able to provide for their children at Christmas. Founded in 1984, we now serve approximately 2,400 children annually in Kanawha an
d Boone Counties. Once completed, the applications are screened for eligibility and distributed to various service agencies such as Secret Santa. The families are asked to list their children and each child's top three toy choices. During a three-week blitz, individuals and businesses are urged to call the hotline and sponsor a child. Each gift is approximately $25 or under. The sponsor then purchases the three toys listed. Once the toys are purchased and labeled, the sponsor drops them off at one of our drop-off locations. The toys are then collected and taken to a central distribution point where the families of the children come to pick them up. We need your help! We always need year-round volunteers, in addition to Secret Santas during the Christmas Season.
