Election Day will be here before we know it. The most important thing you can do right now is make a plan to vote and help your family, friends, and community do the same. Whether you’re voting early, voting by mail, or voting on Election Day on November 3rd, having a plan can help ensure you are prepared and ready to make your voice heard.
The NAACP has created two free toolkits to help you get ready:
We the People: Vote Toolkit - Access ready-to-use graphics, sample social media posts, and messaging to encourage voter participation in your community.
We the People: Election Protection Toolkit - Get resources that walk voters through every step of the voting journey and explain what to do if you experience problems at the polls.

National Voter Education Week
October 5-9, 2026
The NAACP is preparing for National Voter Education Week, a civic holiday focused on educating voters with a week-long series of activations and town halls that give voters the tools to cast their ballots with confidence and ensure their voices are heard.
This Voter Education Week, the NAACP continues to provide the resources Black voters need to navigate election season, understand what is at stake, and take action in their communities. But our work does not stop at the ballot box. Together, we are building the knowledge, engagement, and collective power needed to strengthen Black political power and build a more representative democracy.
We invite you to join us throughout National Voter Education Week for conversations, trainings, and activations designed to educate, engage, and mobilize communities across the country. Together, we can turn voter education into voter action and continue building Black political power beyond Election Day.
From the Classroom to the Ballot Box: A National Voter Education Week Town Hall
Monday, October 5
As part of National Voter Education Week and ahead of the 2026 midterm elections, the NAACP Youth & College Division will host a national Education Town Hall focused on what is at stake for students, schools, and communities at the ballot box. Building on our Fund the Future Now campaign, the conversation will bring together youth leaders, advocates, and education experts to connect the issues we are seeing every day, from the rising cost of college and student debt to school vouchers and the resources available to our public schools, to the decisions being made at the ballot box. The town hall will help young people better understand how education shows up in this election, what those decisions mean for their communities, and why being informed and engaged matters.

National Black Man Voter Day Rally Call @ 7 pm ET
Tuesday, October 6
Join the NAACP, 100 Black Men of America, National Urban League, Black Men Vote, and Woke Vote for a national organizing call focused on engaging, educating, and mobilizing Black men ahead of the 2026 election. This call will bring together leaders, organizers, chapters, members, and partners from across the country to align around National Black Man Voter Day and coordinated voter engagement efforts. Participants will hear about the national strategy, upcoming activations, organizing resources, and ways organizations can work together to reach Black men in our communities.
Together, we will turn relationships into action and build sustained civic participation beyond a single election.

Thursday, October 12th
WE THE PEOPLE WIN: When Black Women Lead, Democracy Wins is a powerful conversation about moving from participation to power. Through the lens of the NAACP's Civic Engagement priorities, panelists will explore what Black women need, deserve, and should expect from elected leaders, institutions, and democracy itself.
The discussion will challenge attendees to think beyond Election Day and consider how civic education, advocacy, organizing, and community leadership can drive lasting change.
