Today, we pause to honor the mothers, fathers, grandmothers, and grandfathers who have worn the uniform of our nation—and those who continue to serve within The American Legion family and beyond.

Your courage safeguarded our freedoms. Your sacrifice built the foundation of our communities. And your example inspires us, the Sons of The American Legion, to carry forward the values of service, duty, and remembrance.

On this Veterans Day, we say thank you—not just with words, but with our commitment to uphold the legacy you entrusted to us. May we always remember that freedom is never free, and may we always strive to be worthy of the gift you have given.

To all veterans: we salute you. We honor you. We remember you.

Today, we honor and remember a true hero — a proud veteran and beloved member of the American Legion Family from West Virginia. His unwavering service to our country and lifelong dedication to supporting fellow veterans will never be forgotten. Our hearts are with his family, friends, and Legion comrades as we say our final farewell.
