Lifelong Learning Series…

The Foundation will be hosting four History Gathering workshops, one every Friday during month of February. These workshops are free and open to the public. We will be gathering the community’s knowledge, experience, artifacts, and cultural materials regarding the Grimball Road corridor to create a walking trail of Gullah-Geechie Historical Markers in the green space at the Grimball Road property.

This project is funded in part with a $10,000.00 grant from the SC Humanities, a state program of the National Endowment for the Humanities.

Become a male mentor for our A+ Performance Mentoring Program.

A signature program created to assist students especially those at-risk with behavioral and academic challenges, learn the proper kinds of behaviors to improve day to day conduct in life. Through invaluable service, the program has mentored approximately 190 young men. ​

Five-Step method for “behavioral modification”
1. Acknowledging the error of their behavior.
2. Accepting the discipline associated with the error.
3. Apologizing to those who have been offended.
4. Identifying Alternative behavior that would have been appropriate.
5. Developing an Action Plan for correcting the error in behavior.
