Everyone meet our August Member of the Month: Devon Lopez! 🤩

Devon Lopez is a Physician Liaison with Vandalia Health and the owner of Loune, a boutique event planning and styling company specializing in thoughtfully curated gatherings and day-of event coordination. In her healthcare role, she builds strategic relationships with healthcare providers and communities across Southern West Virginia to improve access to specialty care. She holds a Master of Public Administration from West Virginia University and is passionate about connecting people, fostering collaboration, and creating meaningful experiences.

Outside of her professional role, Devon serves on the Kanawha Valley Pickleball Club Board and the West Virginia Women’s Alliance Board. She is also a member of the Mountaineer Athletic Club Charleston Scholarship Dinner Planning Committee and the Mountaineers Night Out Planning Committee, where she helps create opportunities that strengthen alumni engagement, support students, and celebrate West Virginia traditions. Whether coordinating healthcare initiatives, planning memorable events, or volunteering in her community, Devon is dedicated to bringing people together with purpose.

What. A. Night. 🎉 First Tuesdays was one for the books! We absolutely PACKED The Gruv and loved seeing so many familiar faces alongside so many new ones. Thank you to everyone who came out and made the evening such a success!

A huge thank you to the Gruv for being an incredible host, DJEJ for bringing the phenomenal vibes all night long, and to our Member of the Month, Devon Lopez, and Keynote Speaker, Madhur Bedre, for sharing their inspiring stories and highlighting the amazing work they're doing in our community. (We'll be sharing more about both of them soon!)

Introducing our June Member of the Month, Sarah Wright!

Sarah Wright serves as Executive Director of Fund for the Arts, supporting 11 local arts organizations and helping ensure the arts remain a vibrant part of life in the Kanawha Valley. She works to elevate West Virginia’s creative economy by producing vibrant, community-centered events like Brunch Bites & The Arts in the summer and Capital Cocktail Classic in the fall. Through dynamic programming and partnerships, Fund for the Arts attracts visitors, supports local arts organizations, and showcases the cultural heartbeat of our region. This work helps position the arts as a key driver of tourism, community vitality, and economic development in Southern West Virginia.

A Charleston native and WVU graduate, Sarah is passionate about the Mountain State and dedicated to connecting people to the arts while helping local organizations thrive. When she’s not working to advance the arts community, she enjoys fitness, playing piano, creating wildlife-friendly gardens for native pollinators, and spending time with her family. She is deeply committed to bringing joy, inspiration, and enrichment to the lives of West Virginians.

A special thank you to Capitol Social for hosting us and to DJEJ for creating the perfect summer vibe all evening long.

We’d also like to recognize our Member of the Month, Sarah Wright with Fund for the Arts, for sharing more about their important mission and the exciting events coming up in our community. We appreciate all they do to support and celebrate the arts in our region!
