Veteran Business Owners Forum – Charleston, SC
Presented by JPMorgan Chase and hosted in partnership with The Citadel and the ATI Foundation, this evening brought together leaders and changemakers dedicated to empowering veteran entrepreneurs.
The program opened with remarks from Darryl Brown of the Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce and Trey Hamilton of JPMorgan Chase, setting the tone for collaboration and opportunity.
Spotlights featured Rachel Carpenter Horne of Gold Star Coffee Shop and William & Julie Neira of Warriors Haven 501(c)(3)—two shining examples of purpose-driven veteran-led ventures making an impact across South Carolina.
The panel discussion, moderated by Elizabeth Russell of JPMorgan Chase, included CJ Williams (The Citadel), Scott Poole (Charleston Area SBDC), and Dave Rozelle of the South Carolina Department of Veterans Affairs, who shared powerful insights on post-service business growth, access to resources, and the resilience that defines veteran entrepreneurship.
The evening concluded with a reception celebrating connection, community, and the ongoing mission to support those who served as they build and lead in business.
