Big news from MUSC College of Nursing. 🌸

Introducing P.E.A.R.L., Perinatal Experience & Assisted Role-based Learning. A first of its kind paid fellowship placing first semester nursing students in Labor & Delivery, Mother-Baby and NICU with flexible scheduling built around coursework and direct mentorship from experienced perinatal nurses.

Launching summer 2026, this program was built to strengthen the future of perinatal nursing, support our clinical teams and invest in students from the very beginning of their education. Fellows gain paid, hands-on specialty experience before graduation, a clearer pathway into Women's Services and NICU careers, and the confidence to hit the ground running.

We built this for our students and for the patients they will one day serve. Because great perinatal nurses aren't born. They're built.
